Product:
Wireless Gait Sensor
Customer:
Bloorview MacMillan Childrens
Center
Scope of Work: Full Design
Design Description:
The BMCC tests the walking patterns of children to determine if they
suffer from specific neurological conditions. Analyzing these patterns
is complicated by the wires and sensors required to pickup the child's
foot-falls. Intectus designed an ultra-thin pressure transducer (less
than 0.5mm) which is connected to a wireless transmitter. The receiver
unit (not shown) allows the lab technician to adjust the sensitivity of
the sensor remotely to accommodate a wide range of body weight and
walking styles. |
